Advanced Core Flooding

Our core flooding setup is a dual-purpose tool designed for reservoir evaluation and assessment of caprock sealing capacity. It precisely simulates subsurface conditions (up to 300 bar and 120°C) to analyze fluid flow through core samples, providing critical data on permeability and two-phase flow properties—essential parameters for reservoir management.

Beyond conventional flooding experiments, the system incorporates breakthrough pressure (or capillary entry pressure) measurement capabilities. This enables the determination of the exact pressure thresholds required for fluids to penetrate low-permeability formations—a crucial factor in evaluating caprock integrity for natural gas, hydrogen, and CO₂ storage projects.
