OCTG Make-Up and Break-Out Center

At the ITE, OCTG connections and threaded joints for pipe diameters up to 185/8” can be subjected to extreme torsional conditions (max. 80 kNm) using computer-controlled, high-torque power tongs to determine their make-up and break-out behavior. An automatic switch terminates the make-up process once the specified torque value or angular rotation has been reached.
