OCTG Connection Test Center I

This unit has been designed to test the gas tightness of OCTG connections under combined loading. Tubulars up to 7" in diameter can be mounted using adapters and tested in the rigid frame. In addition, both ends are secured with solid bolts to allow the pipe to bend. The lower end can be actuated by a hydraulic piston with a force of 2800 kN. If testing is to be performed at high temperatures (up to 250 °C), special equipment can be mounted on the frame. The unit accommodates gas pressures up to 150 MPa (21,750 psi).
