DGMK/ÖGEW Spring Conference 2019

The annual spring conference of the DGMK and ÖGEW takes place in Celle from the 25th until the 26th of April. The Institute of Petroleum Engineering will be present with four speeches and one contribution to the poster session.

In the special field of  petroleum production engineering there are two speeches. The first one is from the department of  Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Michael Z. Hou about the results from the DGMK-Project 814: Numerical and Model-Physical Investigations on Innovative Frac-Technologies with Alternative Frac-Fluids for Tight Gas Formations and Re-fracturing Options. Afterwards, Calvin Gaol  gives new insights into the utilisation of micromodels to investigate the mechanisms in Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR).
Our bachelor student Fabian Barganski will present his benchmark study of underground hydrogen storage in Eclipse. The second speech in the area of reservoir engineering is held by Sebastian Hogeweg and contains his results from simulation of underground microbiological methanation in a conceptional
well doublet system.
Stefanie Säfken is contributing a poster about her work in her master thesis, which included the wettability alteration of micromodels from water wet to oil wet.
