New research project for hydrogen storage

The project "Investigation of the suitability of gas storages for hydrogen storage" started on the 15th March 2021 at the ITE.

In cooperation with the DMT, the suitability of gas storage facilities for storing hydrogen is investigated. For this purpose, various diffusion experiments and gas mixing experiments are planned at the ITE. On the basis of the results, an investigation program will be developed in the course of the project, which analyses the suitability of a location for hydrogen storage. You can find more information about the project here.
The project, including a PhD position, is financed by the DMT.

H. Sievers and K. Kleinherbers from TÜV Nord, J.-P. Lux and M. Tiedemann of the DMT and Prof. L. Ganzer from TU Clausthal acclaim the start of the project.
