Reservoir Engineering

The experimental capabilities of the department, which was created in 1979, are extensive. The department lab facilities cover approximately 8500 ft2 and provide laboratory equipment for

  • Porosity and permeability measurements (Triaxial test stand)
  • Two-phase flow equipment for gas/water and oil/water flow experiments
  • Capillary pressure measurement
  • Gas chromatograph, atomic adsorption spectrometer
  • Rock properties lab (with CT and NMR devices).

The computer infrastructure of the department consists of a network of high-performance desktops, workstations and server for numerical modelling and simulation.
